Adv Shraddha Yadav – Empowering Change: A Journey from Academia to Advocacy

Raised in a family that instilled strong values of gratitude and service to society, her life has been a reflection of these principles. After completing her education, she embarked on a successful career as a lecturer at a prestigious engineering institution, dedicating over a decade to nurturing young minds. Her passion for teaching extended to postgraduate students at the University of Mumbai, where she shared her knowledge and experience.

As her career flourished, life presented her with a pivotal moment of reflection following the birth of her child. Faced with the choice between a thriving, high-paying career and the role of motherhood, she made the deeply personal decision to embrace motherhood, recognizing it as the most precious gift. Yet, leaving the classroom and the dynamic interaction with students left a void that she could not ignore. The desire to contribute to society and make a lasting impact still burned brightly.

In search of a new way to serve, she turned her focus to law, setting her sights on advocating for marginalized communities, especially women and children whose voices often go unheard. This dedication led her to establish SAFE SPACE INDIA, an organization devoted to creating secure and inclusive workplaces. As the founder, she worked relentlessly to empower women, assisting organizations in developing comprehensive policies, offering training, and raising awareness on creating safe work environments. Additionally, she conducted free training sessions for marginalized communities, providing them with the tools and confidence to assert their rights.

During her advocacy work, life once again presented an unexpected opportunity. A client, impressed by her passion and poise, suggested she explore modeling. Intrigued, she decided to take a bold step outside her comfort zone and participated in a beauty pageant. To her surprise, she secured the position of first runner-up, a moment that broadened her perspective and introduced her to a new platform for advocating meaningful causes.

With this new role, she made a personal commitment: any earnings from her modeling endeavors would be channeled into her mission of empowering women and advancing education. The stage became yet another avenue through which she could champion the causes closest to her heart.

Her journey has been anything but straightforward, yet each challenge has strengthened her resolve and reinforced her sense of purpose. Whether in academia, advocacy, or on a public stage, she remains steadfast in her commitment to making a difference.
