Visionary educator and social activist Peeyush Pandit has unveiled India’s first smart metro village, Indian-E-Village, in a groundbreaking initiative set to transform rural development. This innovative project seamlessly integrates modern amenities with traditional rural settings, offering residents access to state-of-the-art educational, recreational, and healthcare facilities.
Pandit, who has dedicated over 18 years to championing education and societal transformation, believes this model can be replicated across India and beyond. “The purpose of humanity is to serve the community,” he states, emphasizing his commitment to uplifting marginalized populations.
His vision extends beyond rural development. Pandit’s establishment of the International Internship University (IIU), the world’s largest online learning platform, is redefining education for the globalized world. IIU blends academic learning with practical, real-world experience, ensuring students are not just academically proficient but also industry-ready upon graduation.
Operating across India, Nepal, the USA, and Australia, IIU has garnered international attention. Pandit is currently advocating for IIU to be officially recognized as a virtual internship-based university by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Prime Minister of India.
Pandit’s commitment to social change is further exemplified by his initiatives to empower women and youth. The Women Entrepreneurs Council (WEC) provides a platform for women to develop their entrepreneurial skills and participate in the global economy. Additionally, through the International Student Development Council (ISDC) and the International Youth Development Council (IYDC), Pandit is shaping the next generation of global leaders. These organizations aim to cultivate leadership, foster cultural exchange, and promote personal development among young people worldwide.
